Parents, carers, teachers, coaches and other adults who support teenagers are invited to take part in the Gladstone Local Drug Action Team’s Keep Their Futures Bright workshops, offering practical information and tools to help support young people as they navigate alcohol and other drugs. There are a number of FREE workshops scheduled in Gladstone, Calliope and Boyne Island.
The teenage years bring new experiences, growing independence and important decisions. For the adults in young people’s lives, knowing how to approach conversations about alcohol and other drugs can make a difficult topic feel more manageable.
These workshops provide an opportunity to build knowledge and confidence, with a focus on helping adults support the teenagers they care about. Whether you are raising a teen, teaching a class, coaching a team or supporting young people in your community, you have a valuable role to play.
Facilitated by Gladstone Mindcare, the Gladstone Local Drug Action Team brings together local people and organisations to develop community-led activities that prevent and minimise alcohol and other drug harms. This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Alcohol and Drug Foundation.
